Tommy Gemmell

PROJECT

We decided a community project for a statue of Tommy Gemmell, would be a wonderful way to honour his legacy and contributions to the sport. The project has involved us gathering information about his life, career, and accomplishments. We will be organising fundraising events to finance the creation and installation of the statue, which will be located in his hometown of Craigneuk where it can be admired and celebrated by the community.

Ahead of Tommy Gemmell’s funeral, his close friend and founder of the Tommy Gemmell Community Project, Martin McCrum shared his memories of some special moments.
